Our Reinvention: The Overhead Conducting System v. 2.0

Granville T. Woods' original overhead conducting system was great, but it could not be used today, because back then, there was only one overhead wire for the apparatus to conduct electricity from, and now on most modern railways, there are two overhead wires that the train must simultaneously conduct electricity from. On our reinvention, we placed the conductor wires so that they would conduct the electricity from both the overhead wires. The most obvious improvement of our reinvention is the change in the overall design. In the original invention, there was only either a single armed design or a z-armed design. In our reinvention, the device is double armed, for extra support. The middle of it has a support bar, for even more added support. My team thought a new design was necessary, however, we decided to keep the function and purpose of the original system intact, so there are copper wires on top of the apparatus that will conduct the electricity. Our team, after 3 days of discussion, decided that this design was the best possible way to reinvent the overhead conducting system. Along with reinventing this product, we also had to pitch it to real companies by creating a business proposal, a paper advertisement, and and a digital commercial.
